Tawanna Leanette Turner, age 29, of Siler City died Monday, May 20, 2013 at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill.
Tawanna was a native of Rockingham County and attended United House of Prayer in High Point.
She is survived by her mother, Margie Turner of Staley; father, John Lee Hairston of Eden; daughters, Angelic Turner of Staley, Calvina Turner Carter of Eden, Aalyah Turner Carter of Eden, Miracle Turner of Staley; sisters, Tenika Foye of Greensboro, Naomi Bringas and her husband Rodrigo of Archdale, Latonia Ramirez of Siler City; grandmother, Wilma Johnson of Staley; boyfriend, Doug Foxx of Siler City; special family and friends, Wendy Carter of Eden and Mary Lee of Staley and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday, May 27, 2013 from 6:00 - 7:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Blackwell Missionary Baptist Church, 4777 US Hwy 158 West, Yanceyville, NC with Pastor Everett Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
