Sylvia Doris Morris Ward

Sylvia Morris Ward, age 94, of Asheboro died Friday, February 21, 2014 at North Pointe Assisted Living Community, Randleman. Mrs. Ward was born October 3, 1919 in Davidson County, NC the daughter of Ed S. Morris and Esther Loflin Morris. Mrs. Ward was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was member of the Blanche McGlohon Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Walton Ward, and a son, Charles Walton Ward, Jr. She is survived by one son: Jerry M. Ward and his wife Donna of Asheboro, NC; daughter-in-law, Margaret W. Ward of Asheboro, NC; granddaughter, Stephanie Blum and her husband Eric of Asheboro, NC; grandson, Douglas Scott Ward and his wife Carolyn of Asheboro, NC; grandson, Morry Ward and his wife Kelly of High Point, NC; grandson, Christopher Walton Ward and his wife Dianne of Asheboro, NC; and great-grandchildren Josh, Jacob, and Jessi Blum and Matthew, Noah, Kaitlyn and Bailey Ward. The funeral will be Tuesday, February 25th at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Rev. Dan Ramsey and Rev. George W. Roberson officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Asheboro. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
