Sybil Evans Oliver

Sybil Aldridge Evans Oliver, age 74, of 1712-A N. Hamilton St., High Point died Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Hospice Home at High Point. The family will receive friends Friday, September 21, 2012 from 1:00-1:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will follow on Friday at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Craig Walker officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Mrs. Oliver was born in High Point on October 8, 1937 to Floyd and Gertrude Finch Aldridge. She was a member of Welch Memorial Methodist Church in High Point and was a member of The Red Hat Society. In addition to her parents, Sybil was preceded in death by her husbands, Leland Dempsey Evans and Verlis "Bud" Oliver and her son Michael Dale Evans. She was a friend of Bill's for over 30 years. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Whitesell and her husband Jeff of McLeansville, NC; son, Pepper Evans and his wife Valerie of Thomasville, NC; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Johnny Aldridge of Goldsboro, NC; and sister, JoAnn Sykes of Greenville, SC.
