Susan R. Dunker

Susan Robertson Dunker, age 70, of Asheboro died Friday, February 24, 2017 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mrs. Dunker was born September 7, 1946 the daughter of Stewart and Bertha Auman Robertson. Susan was a native of Asheboro and a 1964 graduate of Seagrove High School. After High School, she obtained an AD Nursing degree from Davidson Community College, was an AHA CPR instructor and an EMT Instructor, she worked as an ER nurse for Randolph Hospital and retired as an AD Nurse with the NC Department of Corrections. Susan had a green thumb, always keeping beautiful plants in her yard. She was a doting grandmother; enjoying any time she was able to spend with her family. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband: David Dunker; son and his wife: Mark and Angela Dunker of Greensboro, NC; son and his wife: Jason and Kisha Dunker of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren: Austin, Meredith and Peyton Dunker; sister and her husband: Barbara and B.W. Holt of Bristol, TN; father-in-law: Rev. Carl Dunker of Asheboro, NC; nephew and his wife and their children: Stu And Kim Holt of Boone, NC Payton, Maggie and Ann-Wallace Holt; and cousin: Martha Hill of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 26, 2017 from 4:00-5:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. A Private Memorial Service will be held.
