Steven William Poeppelman

Steven William Poeppelman, age 62, of Asheboro passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the Randolph Hospice House.

Mr. Poeppelman was born in Dayton, OH on September 14, 1955 to William and Marilyn Poeppelman, the oldest of 5 children.  Steven attended Cleveland State University where he received his BBA Degree in Accounting.  Steven served as Plant Controller with Oliver Rubber Company for 25 years.  He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and a member of the financial board for United Way.  Steven was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Simon Poeppelman, and his siblings Sheila and Michael.  Steven was a devoted husband, father, papa, son, brother, and friend.  Steven was a Cleveland sports fan and enjoyed golf, playing cards, and spending time with his granddaughter Lilly at the beach house.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Rosemarie Lonczynski Poeppelman; children, Thomas Poeppelman of the home, Andrew Poeppelman of Raleigh, Kaley Poeppelman of Charlotte, Brandon Poeppelman of Burlington, and Breanna Covington and husband Robert of Asheboro; granddaughter, Lillian Grace Covington of Asheboro; father, William Albert Poeppelman of Ashland, OH; brothers, Robert Poeppelman of Cleveland, OH and Daniel Poeppelman of Cleveland, OH; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.                 

The family will receive friends Friday, April 27, 2018 from 6:30-8:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 28 at 1:00 pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 512 West Wainman Avenue in Asheboro with Father Philip Kollithanath officiating.  A private family burial will be held at a later date.
