Steve Alvin Whitley

Steve Alvin Whitley, age 47, of 570 Mt. Carmel Church Road, Troy died Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Thomasville Medical Center, Thomasville. Steve was born September 24, 1963 in Wilkes County, NC, the son of Alvin Glenn and Jane Fann Whitley of Troy. He was a 1981 graduate of West Montgomery High School and a store manager of Food Lion of Thomasville. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife: Regina Johnson Whitley of the home; one daughter: Kirstie Whitley of the home; one son: Joshua Steve Whitley of Troy; one stepson: Adam McIver of New York City; two brothers: Jeff Whitley of KS, Chris Whitley of Troy. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at the home. No service is planned.
