Stephen Douglas Russell

Stephen "Steve" Douglas Russell, age 44, of 172 Confederate Drive, Troy died Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Stanly Regional Medical Center, Albemarle. Steve was born July 8, 1966 in Montgomery County, NC, the son of Terry and Shirley Hamilton Russell of Troy. He was a 1984 graduate of West Montgomery High School and attended Montgomery Community College. He was a former employee of Alandale Industries and Mid State Equipment. In addition to his parents, he is survived by three sons: MacKenzie Drew Russell of Ether, Bradley Stephen Russell and Justin Matthew Russell, both of Troy; one sister: Karen Renee Humphreys and husband, Matt of Troy; paternal grandmother: Jeanette Russell of Troy. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 N. Main Street, Troy; other times at the home of Terry and Shirley Russell, 3000 Love Joy Road, Troy. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Troy Wesleyan Church, 842 Ophir Avenue, Troy with Pastor James Brewer officiating. Burial will be in Love Joy United Methodist Church Cemetery, Substation Road, Troy.
