Stanley Raeford McNeill

Stanley Raeford McNeill, age 88, of 5802 Ridge Rd. in Seagrove died Saturday, December 29, 2007 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. Mr. McNeill was born April 20, 1919 the son of John Henry and Janette Hancock McNeill. Mr. McNeill was a native of Randolph County, a member of Union Grove Baptist Church in Seagrove for over 50 years and was an Army Veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife, Estelle Mabe McNeill. He is survived by daughters: Diane Margolis of Fort Pierce, FL, Delia Kiser of Gooseneck Creek, SC and Janet Hill of Asheboro; sons: Sidney R. McNeill of Franklinville and David S. McNeill of Archdale; 5 grandchildren, 1 Step Granddaughter, 9 great grandchildren and 1 Step Great-grandson; sister: Clara M. Burgin of Ocala, FL; Brother: Page G. McNeill of Seagrove. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 1, 2008 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro, other times at the home. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Union Grove Baptist Church, 7912 Union Grove Church Rd. in Seagrove with Rev. Martin Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors.
