Shirley H. Wright

Shirley H. Wright, age 74, of 2109 Carlisle Rd., Greensboro died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Cross Christian Church Cemetery in Asheboro with Dr. C. Paul Willis officiating. Mrs. Wright was born in Asheboro, NC on March 2, 1937 to Jasper and Vera Surratt Honeycutt. She was retired from the Federal Government after 30 years of service and was a member of Westover Church in Greensboro. Shirley and her husband David were married for 53 years and did everything together. She was a wonderful wife, caregiver, and a loving mother. She is survived by her husband, David Wright; son, David Wright, Jr. and his wife Michelle of Greensboro, NC; grandson, Chandler Wright; sisters, Linda Lowdermilk and her husband James of Seagrove, NC, Frances Dunn and her husband Neal of Asheboro, NC, and Betty Jean Renegar and her husband Sonny of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 8, 2011 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
