Shirley Edith Hoover Creech

Shirley Edith Hoover Creech, age 87, of Asheboro passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation.

Mrs. Creech was born in Hickory, NC on February 3, 1931 to James Earl and Mary Eller Hoover. She was employed as a Nurse for over 20 years. Shirley was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hickory. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Air Force SGT Charles Ray Creech. Shirley loved to dance, sing, and go shopping. She loved her cats. Shirley enjoyed traveling with her family to the beach.

She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Ann Dunn and husband Derek of Asheboro; and grandson, Drake Dunn of Asheboro.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery, 1741 9th Ave. NW in Hickory with Dr. John Paul Christy officiating.
