Shirley Ann Evans Saunders

Shirley Ann Evans Saunders, age 66, of 460 Triumph Street, Troy died Friday, July 16, 2010 at her home. Mrs. Saunders was born September 7, 1943 in Sumter, SC the daughter of John and Christine (Scott) Evans. She was a self employed hairdresser, loved crocheting afghans and working crossword puzzles. She attended Shady Grove Christian Church and was preceded in death by her father, John Evans. She is survived by her husband: Bobby Leon Saunders of the home; mother: Christine Evans Morgan of Candor; children: Bobby L. Saunders, Jr. and wife, Susan of Dahlgren, VA, Tim Saunders and wife, Marie of Troy, Jennifer S. Hoagland and husband, Rob of Hickory and Tyler Saunders of Troy; 5 grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 17, 2010 from 7-9 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 N Main Street, Troy; other times at the home. Funeral services will be held Sunday at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home at 2 pm with Rev. Jimmy Shirlen officiating. Burial will be in Southside Cemetery, Troy. Arrangements by Pugh-Troy Funeral Home
