Sheryl Lucas Hancock

Sheryl Lucas Hancock, age 61, of 277 Cheyenne Circle, Asheboro died Monday, May 9, 2011 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Billy R. Self officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Hancock was a native of Montgomery County and was a secretary at Central United Methodist Church. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, David Colon Hancock. She is survived by her sons, David C. Hancock, Jr. of Winston-Salem, Christopher R. Hancock and his wife Melissa of Asheboro; granddaughters, Brittany and Kyndal Hancock; brother, Gary Lucas and his wife Kristi of Oak Ridge; sisters, Peggy Warren and her husband Mark of Saudi Arabia, Brenda Bowman and her husband Ricky of Star. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 10, 2011 from 6 to 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
