Shelly Ray Allred, age 83, of Randleman died Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Wesley Long Community Hospital, Greensboro.
Mr. Allred was a native of Randolph County and worked for Dixie Furniture for 25 years, but retired from Thomasville Furniture. He enjoyed yard work and his friends coming over for a visit and having the grandchildren around.
He is survived by his wife: Winnie Reitzel Allred of the home; daughters: Belinda Kay Allred Hill of Greensboro, and Melissa Gayle Allred Blalock and her husband Alan of Randleman; grandchildren, Anthony Bryson Hill, Lesley Erika Hill Morris and her husband Joshua, John Reitzel Blalock and Elizabeth Carroll Blalock; great grandchildren, Isabella Adriana, Mason James and Pressley Harper Morris and Quinten Bryson Hill; sisters: Bertha Lee Rumbley of King, Dorothy Routh of Liberty, and Betty Jean Hartis of Greensboro.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 4:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 600 South Main Street, Randleman with Dr. Dana Bunn officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
