Shelby Jean Jarrell Patrick

Asheboro - Shelby Jean Jarrell Patrick, age 75, of Asheboro died Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation, Asheboro. Mrs. Patrick was born August 20, 1937, the daughter of Walter D. and Nealie Shirley Jarrell. Mrs. Patrick was a native of Randolph County and graduated with the Class of 1955 from Randleman High School. She retired from Kayser - Roth Hosiery and enjoyed traveling, reading, was a very good cook and known for making the best potato salad on the east coast. She was a member of West Bend United Methodist Church and she truly loved her church family. Shelby was a jovial, loving, caring, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. In addition to her parents, Shelby was preceded in death by her brother: Donnie Ray Jarrell. She is survived by her husband: Kenneth R. Patrick, daughter: Cynthia Patrick Reinhardt and her husband, Dennis of Asheboro; son: Mike Patrick and his wife, Datra of Silver Valley, two grandchildren: Claire Patrick and Ian Patrick both of Silver Valley; sister: Phyllis Greene and her husband, Eddie and brother: Kenneth W. Jarrell and his wife, Brenda all of Asheboro, NC The family will receive friends Sunday, June 30, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 1, 2013 at 11:00 AM at West Bend United Methodist Church, 1080 Albemarle Road, Asheboro with Rev. Drew McIntyre officiating.
