Shelby Jean Cooper

Shelby Jean Maness Cooper, age 72, of 874 Hwy. 49 S., Asheboro died Thursday, February 16, 2012 at her home. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Richland Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Howard Moffitt officiating. Mrs. Cooper was born in Greensboro, NC on August 15, 1939 to Burnett Glendale and Bertha Lee Rush Maness. She was retired as a supervisor with Bossong Hosiery. Shelby was preceded in death by her father and her husband William Paul Cooper. She is survived by her sons, William Glen Cooper of Climax, NC, Chris Cooper of Asheboro, NC, Brian Cooper of Climax, NC; granddaughter, Carolyn Latham of Denton, NC; mother, Bertha Cooper and her husband, Garland of Asheboro, NC; brother, Roger Maness of Troy; sister, Linda Duncan of Arkansas and aunt, Irene Rush of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
