Sheila Annette Boykin Young, age 44, of Randleman died Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Randolph Hospital.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 6:00 pm at North Asheboro Church of God, 1349 Randolph-Tabernacle Rd., Asheboro, with Rev. Scottie Daniel officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
Mrs. Young was born in Asheboro on October 1, 1970. As a young girl, Sheila was a poster child for the March of Dimes. She was a member of North Asheboro Church of God and a bell ringer for the Salvation Army. Sheila was an animal advocate and collector and was employed with Origami Owl. Sheila collected salt and pepper shakers and keychains and loved going to flea markets. Sheila was always happy and never met a stranger.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Young; daughter, Brittany Fisher; mother, Oteen Boykin; father, Sonny Boykin; sister, Jeanette Bowman; nephews, Darrell Wilson and Shawn Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.
