Sharon Faye Brown Ashleman

Sharon Faye Brown Ashleman, age 50, of Sophia died Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Ashleman was a native of Randolph County and was preceded in death by her father John Russell Brown and sister Judy Carol Brown. Sharon was a 1983 graduate of Carolina Christian Academy of Thomasville, a 1987 graduate of God's Bible School in Cincinnati, Ohio, and a 1989 graduate of Greensboro College. She formerly taught at Hobe Sound Christian Academy in Hobe Sound, Florida, Carolina Christian Academy, and Neighbors Grove Christian Academy. She also taught Vacation Bible School at Trinity Holiness Church where she was a member. She is survived by her husband, Dan Ashleman; daughter, Allison Grace Ashleman of Sophia; sons, Samuel Ivan Ashleman, Nathaniel Eugene Ashleman, and Daniel Adrian Ashleman all of Sophia; mother, Betty Hodge of Sophia; sister, Jenatte Kaufman and husband Paul of Siler City; and brother, David Brown of Sophia. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Trinity Holiness Church, 4997 Plainfield Church Rd., Sophia with Rev. Tim Cole officiating.
