Shane McBride

Jerry Shane McBride, age 42, of Asheboro died Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Shane was a native of Randolph County and was a 1988 graduate of Asheboro High School. He was former owner of Sherwood Restaurant on Fayetteville Street and was presently employed with P & J's Diner. Shane attended Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Raymond McBride. Shane was a very caring and loving person who was loved by everyone. He was a dedicated loving husband, father, son and brother. Shane was an avid sports fan and his Tarheels were always number 1. He is survived by his wife, Jerri Lynn McBride; children, Macy Leigh McBride, Makara Layne McBride, River Shane McBride; mother, Joyce Dunn Thomas of Asheboro; sisters, Leigh Burrow and her husband Rod of Randleman, Casey Anna McBride of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church with Rev. Carol Hunter officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
