Scottie Lou Livingston Gibson

Scottie Lou Livingston Gibson, age 74, formerly of Asheboro passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Westchester Manor Nursing Center in High Point.

Mrs. Gibson was born in Piedmont, AL on July 19, 1944 to Roy Lee and Rosella Herod Livingston.  Scottie began her medical career at Wesleyan Arms in High Point as a Certified Nursing Assistant, later worked with Hospice of Randolph, and retired from Randolph Hospital as a CNA.  She was a member of Maple Springs Baptist Church in Seagrove.  In addition to her parents, Scottie was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph “Donald” Gibson.  Throughout her 10 year struggle with Alzheimer's she remained a devoted mother and grandmother.  

She is survived by her daughter, Heather G. Marsh and husband Tracy of Asheboro; sons, Stephen N. Gibson and wife Kay of High Point and Randy W. Gibson of Alexandria, VA; grandsons, Benjamin and Blake Marsh of Asheboro; granddaughters, Jordan Gibson of High Point, Jessica Ryan and husband William of High Point; great granddaughter, Autumn Ryan of High Point; sisters, Sylvia Brooks of Anniston, AL and Sideria Turner of Piedmont, AL

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 6:00 pm at Maple Springs Baptist Church, 6012 Maple Springs Road in Seagrove with Tracy Marsh officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service until 7:30 pm.
