Sarah Francis Rumsey

Sarah Francis Rumsey, age 80, of Randleman died Monday, February 13, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Rumsey was born July 23, 1936 the daughter of Tracy and Virginia Louise Rumsey. Sarah enjoyed watching her sports, especially the Atlanta Braves, Georgia Tech and playing for the Lorelei Ladies fast pitch softball team from Atlanta, Ga. She loved her animals and to garden and was crazy about her nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sarah is preceded in death by her brothers, T.P and Charles and sisters, Betty Jo and Peggy and her beloved dog, Bobo. She is survived by nephew, Ronnie Callicutt (Debbie) of Randleman, niece, Andie Pugh (Mickey) of Kernersville and nephew, David Callicutt (Lou) of Randleman; 4 great nieces; 5 great great nephews; 5 great great nieces; and her special friend Paul Sterling. A graveside service will be held Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 11:00 am at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Clay Robinson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204-0009.
