Sarah Josephine Dunn

Sarah Josephine Dunn of Asheboro went to be with her Lord on April 22, 2014. A funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Friday April 25, 2014 at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel in Asheboro with Gary Mason officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. preceding the service. She was born April 10, 1922 in Montgomery County. She was retired from Asheboro City School System where she worked in the cafeteria for many years. Mrs. Dunn was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved cooking for her family, working in her flowers, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Graham Charles Dunn Sr., her parents Colvin and Mamie Johnson, brothers Frank Johnson and James Johnson, sisters Ruby Johnson and Eloise Thomas. Surviving are son Graham Charles Dunn Jr. and wife Kennette , daughters Betty Page and husband Billy, Mamie Byrd and husband Garrett, all of Asheboro, grandchildren Mark Byrd and wife Amanda of Denton, Jason Byrd, Jeremy Page and wife Jennifer, and Jenny Page all of Asheboro, great-grandchildren Braydon Byrd, Taylor Byrd, Chase Byrd, Austin Page, Avery Page, Abigail Page, and Ashleigh Page. The family would like to thank the staff at Cross Road Retirement Community and to Hospice of Randolph for the loving care given to their mother during this time.
