Sandra "Sandy" Cranford Walker

Sandra "Sandy" Cranford Walker, age 66, of 1817 Beechtree Rd., Greensboro died Tuesday, April 7, 2015 after a successful nine year battle with ovarian cancer at her home surrounded by her family and friends. Sandy was born June 20, 1948 at Greensboro, NC the daughter of Dolan Way and Etta Reynolds Cranford, who precede her in death. She was a senior with a 4.0 grade average of which she was very proud, at UNC-Greensboro. She owned and operated Sandra C. Furr Consulting, Inc. and was a former senior programmer analyst at Collins and Aikman of Albemarle. Sandy loved her family and traveling. Sandy is survived by her husband of fifteen years: Gary Walker of the home; two sons: Michael Todd Furr of Fuquay-Varina, Jeffrey Walker of Charlotte; one daughter Jennifer Walker of Seattle, WA: one brother: Michael W. Cranford of Yorktown, VA; and 3 grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy, NC. The funeral will be Sunday at 3:00 pm at Love Joy United Methodist Church, 1137 Substation Rd, Troy with Rev. Ron Scott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
