Sammy Sneed

Samuel "Sammy" Neil Sneed, age 67, passed away at Autumn Care of Biscoe, NC.

Sammy was born in Troy, NC to the late Donald H. Sneed, Sr. and the late Helen Ruth Thompson Sneed McLeod.  Sammy worked at Montgomery Memorial Hospital in Troy for over 20 years. Sammy was a man full of joy! He loved people, swinging, and good knock-knock jokes. Sammy never missed work, even if he was without a ride, he would walk. He could quote the old McDonald's jingle, memorized all the bones in the body, and knew many Bible verses. He was a big fan of the Andy Griffith Show. He loved Christmas songs, especially "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer". Sammy had a strong handshake and loved going to Church. 

Sammy is survived by his brothers: Don Sneed Jr. (Lorna)of Missouri, Kenneth Sneed (Linda) of Candor, Stanley Sneed (Penny) of Candor; stepfather: Raymond McLeod; stepsisters: Donna & Pam and stepbrother Robert along with several nieces and nephews. 

A Visitation will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Pugh Troy Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Troy, NC. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM at New Covenant Church of Troy, 199 Alexander Rd., Troy, NC, officiated by Rev. Carl Burrow and Rev. Kevin Sneed. Burial will follow at Baldwin Family Cemetery, Norman, NC.
