Samuel Edward Hill

Samuel Edward (Sammy) Hill, age 95, went home peacefully May 4, 2015, at Woodland Hills in Asheboro, NC. A graveside service will be held to celebrate his life on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Mt Lebanon United Methodist Church, in Randleman, at 11:00, with Pastor Stephen Saunders officiating and burial with military rites by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Hill was a native of Randolph County and an Army veteran. He retired from Burlington Industries of Central Falls. After retirement, Sammy moved to Supply, NC for many enjoyable years with wife Ruby, before returning to Randolph County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Hill and infant son Timothy Hill. Parents, Alvin and Mamie Hill, sister, Ethel Hill and brothers Nolan Hill and Cecil Hill, all of Randleman. He is survived by wife, Zora Walker Hill, of Asheboro and cat "Tabby". He was loved by many nieces and nephews. Special friends and caregivers, Roy and Donna Chriscoe. Sammy took great pleasure in ending every visit, with faith and assurance he would see you again in Heaven. Memorials may be made to Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, Cemetery – 119 W.
