Sally Hylton Pugh

Sally Hylton Pugh, age 76, of Heritage Greens, Greensboro, NC, formerly of Spero Rd., Randleman, died Monday, January 12, 2009 at Beacon Place Hospice of Greensboro. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Calvary United Methodist Church, 114 Frances Dr., Asheboro with Rev. G. Frances Adams and Rev. Lee Pollock officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro. Mrs. Pugh was a native of Randolph County, a graduate of High Point University and received her Master of Library Science degree from UNC-G. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and retired from Asheboro City Schools as a teacher and media coordinator after 30 years of service. Mrs. Pugh was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Vestal Pugh, parents, Charles and Ruth Hylton and brother, William Joseph Hylton. She is survived by her son, Robert Charles "Bob" Pugh and his wife Janice Cagle Pugh of Randleman, NC; daughters, Cheryl Pugh Snider of Asheboro, NC, Linda Pugh Smith and her husband Steve Smith of Clemmons, NC; grandchildren, Robby Pugh, Elizabeth Snider, Hylton Smith and Baron Smith. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at 2464 Spero Rd., Asheboro.
