Sadie Greene McIntyre

Sadie Greene McIntyre, age 92, of 1233 Mt. Carmel Rd., Troy died Monday, October 1, 2007 at her home. Mrs. McIntyre was born May 15, 1915 at Montgomery County, NC, the daughter of the late Victor A. and the late Martha M. (Parnell) Greene. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and a retired employee of Smitherman Cotton Mill. She was preceded in death by two sons, Gene McIntyre and Jerry McIntyre. She is survived by two daughters: Grace M. Maynor of Mt. Gilead and Martha McIntyre of Troy; one son: Roger McIntyre of Mt. Gilead; three sisters: Elma Miller, Nellie McIntyre and Dortha Cave, all of Troy; one brother, V.A. Greene of Mt. Gilead; 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. The funeral will be Thursday at 11:00 am at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 818 Mt. Carmel Church Road, Troy with Rev. Tom Vannoy and Rev. Grady Blakely officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall immediately following the service.
