Ruth Shiann Allen Thompson

Ruth Shiann Allen Thompson, age 66, of Asheboro died Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at the Randolph Hospice House. Mrs. Thompson was born in Matewan, WV on August 12, 1949 to James Albert and Nola Vance Allen. She was formerly employed with Klaussner Furniture. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her sister Margaret West. She is survived by her husband, James Leonard Thompson, daughters, Lori Thompson and husband Robbie of Mt. Gilead, Daylin Perrin and husband Allen of Liberty; son, Vincent Jessup and wife Angie of Coleridge; grandchildren, Donald Mauldin, Dustin Greene, Hanna and Clay Jessup, Michael and Katlynn Perrin; and brother, James C. Allen of Tallahassee, FL. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 4, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.
