Ruth Hopkins Smith

Ruth Hopkins Smith, age 79, of 391 McCollum St., Randleman died Thursday, February 11, 2010 at her home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 14, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro with Rev. Randy Quate officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park. Mrs. Smith was a native of Bassett, VA and was retired from Commonwealth Hosiery. She was a member of Poplar Ridge Friends Meeting and was preceded in death by her husband, Clabie Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Strawcutter of Wilmington; sons, Wayne Smith of Ramseur, Harry Smith of Southern Pines, David Smith of the home, Edward Smith of Sophia; brothers, Cecil Hopkins of Ramseur, Joseph Hopkins of Randleman; sisters, Iris Hinshaw of Climax, Elvin Gregson of Rocky Mount, VA; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 13, 2010 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
