Ruth Marie Shirley

Ruth Marie Shirley, age 90, of 111 E. Brown St., Randleman died Friday, February 15, 2008 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Mrs. Shirley was a native of Guilford County and graduated from Greensboro High School in 1935.She was a member of First United Methodist Church and charter member of United Methodist Women. She retired from Laughlin Hosiery Mill. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Shirley. Father, William Armp Moser. Mother, Elizabeth Jarrell Moser. Step-Mother, Nina Ledford Moser. Brother, Ralph Moser. Half Brother, Junior Moser and Jackie Moser. Half Sister, Virginia lee Simpson, Frances DePompeii and Katherine Clark. She is survived by three daughters: Janice and husband Glenn Craven of Asheboro, Carolyn and husband Mike Edwards of Greensboro, Sharon and husband Houston Trim of Randleman. One son: Lindsay and wife Ruby Shirley of Randleman. Grandchildren, Houston, Tera, Justin, Sharon, Alan and Danny; Great grandchildren, Dakota, Ashlyn, Steven, Johnathan, Harley, Tiffany, Katherine and Sean; Half sister, Myrtle Yarborough of Greensboro; Caregivers, Melissa Kinlaw and Ashley Whiteside. The family will receive friends Monday, February 18, 2008 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral will be held Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, 301 S. Main St., Randleman with Rev. Martha Welch officiating.
