Ruth Price Pugh

Ruth Price Pugh, age 91, of North Pointe Assisted Living and formerly of 611 Dublin Rd., Asheboro died Saturday, April 3, 2010 at North Pointe Assisted Living Community, Randleman. Mrs. Pugh was a native of Stoneville NC. She was a member of Greystone Baptist Church of Asheboro and a lifelong member of the Dig n' Dream Garden Club. As a Registered Nurse and a dietician, she served over 50 years at Griffin Clinic and Randolph Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Pugh, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by her sons: Alan S. Pugh and his wife Amy and Gary M. Pugh both of Asheboro, NC; three grandsons, Alston, Alex & Evan Pugh; and one granddaughter, Anna Pugh. Ruth was a devoted wife, mother and friend to all who knew her. Before her declining health, she was an active member of her church and community. Her devotion to her daily Bible readings exemplified her deep faith in the Lord. Ruth's love of the outdoors and nature was evident in her gardening skills. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:45 -1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Rocky Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Asheboro.
