Ruth Jordan Linthicum

Ruth Jordan Linthicum, age 88, of 315 Shaw St., Randleman died Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at High Point Regional Hospital, High Point after a short illness. Mrs. Linthicum was born in Elm City, NC, served as Librarian for the Randleman Public Library for thirty-two years, and also was employed at Salem Neckwear. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Randleman and had been recognized by the High Point District of the United Methodist Church with a Laity Service Award. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Monroe Linthicum. She is survived by four daughters: Cheryl L. Triplett of Burlington, NC, Marion Clark of Kernersville, NC, Voncyle Linthicum of Tallahassee, FL, Sara Helen Gerlach of Rego Park, NY, 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. The funeral will be Friday, May 9, 2008 at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, 301 S. Main St., Randleman with Rev. Martha Welch and Rev. Kyle Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to funeral service at the church. Burial will follow in Caraway Baptist Church Cemetery, Sophia.
