Ruth Elizabeth Linthicum

RANDLEMAN - Ruth Henley Linthicum, age 89, of Randleman, died Monday, March 11, 2019 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation, Asheboro.

Mrs. Linthicum was born May 27, 1929 to Boyd and Lela Sink Henley. Ruth enjoyed cooking and traveling to the mountains. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and her dogs. In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Buck Linthicum, son; Pat Linthicum, sister; Dot Gentry, and brother; Red Henley.

She is survived by daughters; Jan Linthicum Moss and husband Charles of Randleman, Kathy Voncannon and husband Vance of Sophia, sons; Mike Linthicum of Sophia, Reid Linthicum and wife Susan of Liberty, daughter-in-law; Mary Linthicum of Sophia, grandchildren, Thomas McDowell and wife Marissa of Walterboro, SC, Jennifer McDowell of Sophia, Mikey Linthicum of Sophia, and great grandson; Elijah McDowell of Walterboro, SC.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 6 - 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The graveside service will be Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 2:00 pm at South Plainfield Friends Meeting Cemetery, 4033 Plainfield Road, Sophia with Chaplain Dwight Ayers officiating.
