Ruth G Hill

Ruth will lie in state from 1:00-1:50 PM, Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, 119 W. River Road Randleman, NC. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Church Sanctuary with Rev. Carol Hunter and Ruth's grandchildren officiating. The family will receive friends following the interment, in the church fellowship hall. Ruth was an active member of Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, Randleman for more than 60 years. She was a dedicated member and loved to share her faith to all. Ruth retired from Sew Special and the Randleman Public Library. Books and reading were her passion. She volunteered in the Reading Program at Randleman and Level Cross Elementary Schools for many years. One of her great joys was to help a child learn to read. Ruth also loved to cook, especially, green beans. Her kitchen was her happy place. Preparing special meals for family and friends gave her great pleasure. Ruth lived on Oak lane for more than 50 years, and was surrounded by a host of great and caring neighbors. In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Cecil R. Hill. She is survived by: daughter: Ellen B. Hill of Randleman, NC; daughter and her husband: Susan H. and James Beeson of Advance, NC; six grandchildren: Dean, Preston, Hilliary and her husband, Frank, Andrew, Will and Ben; brother and his wife: Bill and Sue Glenn of Randleman, NC; sister and her husband: Martha and Irvin Brown of Asheboro, NC; sister and her husband: Lou and Don Hill of Illinois; and brother-in-law and his wife: Samuel and Zora Hill of Seagrove, NC.
