Ruth White Hayworth

Ruth W. Hayworth, age 93, of 233 Worth St., Asheboro died Monday, February 22, 2010 at Universal Health Care of Ramseur. A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 3:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Holder and Rev. George Roberson officiating. Mrs. Hayworth was a native of Richmond County and a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she had served on the altar guild. Mrs. Hayworth was a volunteer at the NC Zoo in the Aviary and delivered Meals on Wheels for over 20 years. Mrs. Hayworth was preceded in death by her husband, G. W. "Bill" Hayworth. She is survived by sons, Bill Hayworth and his wife Linda of Pawleys Island, SC, Tom Hayworth and his Jane of Asheboro; grandchildren, Brian Hayworth of Wilmington, John Hayworth of Garner, Amanda Hayworth of Orlando, FL. The family will receive friends Thursday following the memorial service at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro.
