Ruth Mason Bray

Mrs. Ruth Bray, 89, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 30th at Randolph Hospice House.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 4th from 12:45-1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will follow on Saturday, May 4th at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dean Beck officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US 220 Business, Asheboro, NC.

Mrs. Bray was born July 23, 1929 in Farmer, NC to the late Viola Mae and Albert Mason. She was one of seven children. Ruth loved to cook, especially wonderful blackberry pies, and enjoyed flowers and gardening. She was a member of Cross Road Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Marvin J. Bray, to whom she was married 54 years and 6 siblings.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Barry, Randy and wife Carol and Phillip and wife Sandra along with 5 grandchildren, Tracie, Brian, Dustin, Adam, and Alex, and 4 great grandchildren, Mia, Jamison, Jonah, and Millie.

We feel blessed to be a part of the Bray and Mason families and while we will miss our mother, we know that she is at peace. We are also thankful to Joe Frazier for his special friendship to our mother over the years.
