Asheboro - Ruth Ann Farmer Allred, age 70, of Asheboro died Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.
Mrs. Allred was born September 8, 1946 the daughter of Samuel Roy and Katherine Bullins Farmer.
Mrs. Allred was a native of Rockingham County and of Baptist Faith. She was formerly employed with Landon Furniture. She was a caring and helpful individual. She was an amazing mother and grandmother. Ruth was a loving, funny and lively person who enjoyed traveling to the beach, bowling and dancing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister: Martha Farmer Chriscoe and brother: Jimmy Lee Farmer.
She is survived by her companion: Carl Graves; son: Scottie York and his wife, Stacie of Asheboro; three grandchildren:, Tiffany York, Haleigh York and Alexis Cross; four sisters: Lorina (Bill) Goolsby of Stokesdale, Betty (Harry) Bullins of Asheboro, Peggy (Butch) Ferris of Thaxton, VA and Gaynell Mabe of Stoneville; three brothers: Earl (Teri) Farmer of Asheboro, Kenneth Clay Farmer of Asheboro and Robert (Janice) Farmer of Star; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and family Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 12:00 (noon) at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 600 South Main Street, Randleman. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
