Russell "Rusty" Howard Hart, age 58, of Archdale passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at High Point Regional Hospital surrounded by his family.
Mr. Hart was born in Charleroi, PA on September 30, 1957 to Howard Dale and Marlene Sickels Hart. Rusty was a member of Cross Road Baptist Church and a skilled wood craftsman. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Dale Hart. Rusty loved to play Santa. He was a loving husband, Pappy to his grandchildren, and the "The Best Big Brother in the Whole Wide World."
He is survived by his wife, Frankie Stephenson Hart, children, Lisa Hart of Asheboro, Corwin Hart (Sharon) of Richmond, VA, Shawn Hart of Asheboro; stepson, Terry Khan of Archdale; grandchildren, Natalie Hart, Annabella Hart, Paisley-Mae Hart, Erin Gardner, Amber Gardner; mother, Marlene McCormick of Richmond, VA; siblings, Amy Hart of Richmond, VA, Janet "J" Hart of Richmond, VA, Randy Hart (Carolyn) of Colorado Springs, CO, Vickie Pittman (Ed) of Richmond, VA; and Alan Hart (Judith) of Greensboro; and numerous nieces, nephews, and "adopted" family.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 8, 2016 from 4:30-6:00 pm at Cross Road Baptist Church, 1566 Old Cox Road, Asheboro and following the service in the Christian Life Center. Funeral services will follow on Monday at 6:00 pm at Cross Road Baptist Church with Pastor Johnny R. Henderson and Dr. Brandon Powell officiating.
