Russell Chesley Ingold, age 90, of Asheboro entered his heavenly home surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at the Randolph Hospice House. Mr. Ingold was born in Randolph County on July 10, 1926 to Oakwell Chesley and Eva Parks Ingold. Russell served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He attended Neighbors Grove Wesleyan Church in Asheboro. Russell was formerly employed with Asheboro Motor Company, Klopman Mills of Asheboro, and Carolina American Tours of Greensboro. In his retirement years he and his beloved wife Edith loved working the flea markets. In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Jones Ingold. Russell always had a story to tell. Those stories he told will be missed by many. He is survived by his son, Ricky Ingold and wife Kathy of Asheboro; daughter, Phyllis Calloway and husband Don of Asheboro; grandsons, Brandon Cox and wife Allison of St. Johns, FL, Christopher Ingold and wife Kaylin of Asheboro, Nicholas Ingold and girlfriend Sarah of Asheboro; great grandchildren, Sophie, Logan, and Scarlett Cox, Jayce Ingold; sisters, Donsy Hames of Asheboro, Martha Peele of Virginia Beach, VA; brothers, Leonard Ingold and wife Lounette of Asheboro, Jimmy Ingold of Asheboro, and Jesse Ingold of Asheboro; and special companion, Jacksie Poe of Asheboro. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Neighbors Grove Wesleyan Church, 1928 N. Fayetteville St., Asheboro with Pastor Wyatt Hoogkamp and Rev. Randy Haithcock officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to the Randolph Hospice House, 416 Vision Dr., Asheboro, NC 27203 or the Randolph County Honor Guard, P.O. Box 1672, Asheboro, NC 27204. The family would like to express a special thanks to the caring and loving staff of the Randolph Hospice House.
