Ruby Scotten Chriscoe Stout

Ruby Scotten Chriscoe Stout, died at the age of 90 in hospice care in Glen Burnie, MD on June 15, 2008 after suffering a heart attack three weeks earlier in her home in Pasadena, MD. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor O. Ralph Kraft, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Asheboro. Ruby was born June 22, 1917 in Chatham County, NC to Clester Scotten and Lora Davis Scotten. She was formerly employed with Acme-McCrary Corporation. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Chriscoe and second husband, Reece Stout, three sisters, Jesse Davis, Helen Phillips, and Katie Kucinic and two brothers, C.R. Scotten and Ralph Scotten. She is survived by her daughter, Martha Hornaday and her husband Bob of Burlington, NC; sons, Donald Chriscoe and his wife Joyce of Flagstaff, AZ, John Chriscoe of Pasadena, MD; granddaughter, Mitzi Pestaner of Bakersfield, CA; grandson, Chris Hornaday of Woodstock, GA; great granddaughters, Kristin Page of Mebane, NC; Sarah Hornaday of Woodstock, GA; great grandsons, Jordan, Zackary and Aidian Hornaday all of Woodstock, GA; great great grandson, Dillon Page of Mebane, NC; great great granddaughter, Madison Page of Mebane, NC; brother, Benton Scotten of Siler City, NC; and sister, Nellie Gray McMahon of Siler City, NC. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 from 6:30-8:00 P.M. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at the home of her daughter, Martha, 3924-A West Greensboro-Chapel Hill Rd., Liberty, NC.
