Ruby Miller Smith, age 73, of 4116 Old NC Hwy 49, Asheboro died Monday, April 14, 2008 at SunBridge Care & Rehabilitation of Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Shook officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Asheboro. Mrs. Smith was a native of Randolph County and was retired from Lassiter Sportswear. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee H. Smith, and her son, Steve Smith. She is survived by her sons, Roger Smith of Asheboro, NC, David Smith of the home, Jerry Smith of Asheboro, NC, Rick Smith of Greensboro, NC; daughters, Kathy Smith of the home, Susie Pines of Raleigh, NC, Linda Wall of Ramseur, NC, Lorrie Varner of Asheboro, NC; 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother, David Miller of Greenville, NC; sisters, Gloria Auman, Vivian Miller, Sarah Hughes, Sandy Miller and Debbie McElreath all of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
