ASHEBORO - Ruby Johnson Miller, age 83, of 1006 Parkview St., Asheboro died Sunday, February 1, 2009 at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church, with Dr. John S. Rogers and Rev. Coy Lee Haywood officiating. Burial will be in Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery.Mrs. Miller was a native of Randolph County and retired from First National Bank, now Community One Bank. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Joyfull Singers. Mrs. Miller was also active at Bethany United Methodist Church and a volunter at SunBridge Care & Rehabilitation Of Asheboro. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Corina Graves Johnson, sisters, Luna Elberson, Mabel Cross, and brothers, Howard, Lee Roy and Virgil Johnson. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jeff W. Miller; sister, Gladys Hudson of Asheboro and many nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 4, 2009 from 10-11:00 am at First Baptist Church, 133 North Church Street, Asheboro, NC.
