Ruby Clodfelter Barrett, age 84, formerly of Silver Valley, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at her daughters residence in Panama City, FL. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 3, 2009 at 3:00 PM at the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, 8138 E. Old US Hwy 64, Lexington, NC with Rev. Karen Smith officiating.Mrs. Barrett was a native of Moore County, NC and was retired from Burlington Industries after 35 years of service. She attended Piney Grove United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver A. Barrett. She is survived by her daughters, Gloria "Jean" Williams of Panama City, FL, Sandra Smith of Liberty, NC; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Pauline C. Dennis of Charlotte, NC; and brother, James Clodfelter of Asheville, NC.The family will receive friends on Friday, April 3, 2009 from 2:00 P.M.-2:45 P.M. at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
