Ruby Nance Auman passed away on Thursday September 10, 2009 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Central United Methodist Church in Asheboro with the Rev. Canon R. Larry Emerson officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Memorial Gardens.
She was a native of Randolph County, self employed, and worked with Donna Craven Pottery. She was a member of All Souls Anglican Church where she had served as a member of the vestry, senior warden, taught Sunday school, and was a choir member. She was an active member of several local community bible studies and a faithful supporter of CUOC and the Humane Society. Ruby was a lover of life and held a special fondness in her heart for gardening, her dogs, and the care of wildlife, particularly birds. She enjoyed traveling, especially to her mother's homeland of Denmark. She was a friend to all and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her sister Judy Nance of Asheboro.
Ruby is survived by her husband, Greg Auman, mother, Birte Nance, father, Everett Nance, all of Asheboro, brother, Bobby Nance of Randleman; stepchildren, Matthew Auman and Kati Auman; four step-grandchildren; aunt, Hanne Hansen of Copenhagen, Denmark and nephew, Dane Nance.
The family will receive friends Saturday, September 12, from 6:30 - 8:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home of Asheboro.
