Roy Edsel Hyatt

Roy Edsel "Ed" Hyatt, age 82, of Pleasant Garden died Monday, December 8, 2014 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation, Asheboro. Mr. Hyatt was born March 31, 1932 the son of Jesse and Laura Hyatt. Ed was a native of Pilot Mountain and was retired from the US Army after 31 years of service. He was a longtime member of the Southside Baptist Church in Greensboro. In addition to his parents Ed is preceded in death by his sons, Gary and Gene Hyatt. He is survived by his wife: Betty Minor Hyatt of the home; son: Donnie Hyatt and his wife Laura of Nashville, TN; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers: Glenn, Odell and Paul Hyatt all of Greensboro; daughters-in-law, Marla Hyatt of Randleman and Teresa Hyatt of High Point The family will receive friends Friday, December 12, 2014 from 12:30-1:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel, with Pastor Welch officiating. Burial will be at Gilmore Park, Julian, NC.
