Rossie Maie Chriscoe

Rossie Maie Sizemore Chriscoe, age 90, of 238 Southway Rd., Asheboro died Monday, October 24, 2011 at Randolph Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at West Asheboro Baptist Church, 831 Uwharrie Street, Asheboro with Rev. Samuel K. Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Chriscoe was born in Chatham County, NC on August 19, 1921 to Rossie and Clatie Phillips Sizemore. She was a homemaker and a member of West Asheboro Baptist Church. Rossie loved her family, her church, and trees. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, James L. Chriscoe; sons, W. Adam James and his wife Lucille of Fayetteville, NC, John W. James of Swannanoa, NC; daughter, Brenda James Elliott and her husband Clifford of Denton, NC; grandchildren, Angela Davis Rea, Christopher W. Davis, Mark W. James, Chris T. James, Angelica James; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Hester of Durham, NC, Shirley Cross of Atlanta, GA, Frances Taliaferro of Lawrenceville, GA; and brother, L. David Sams of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro, NC. The family would like to express a special thanks to Judy Dupree, Doris Miller, and Rossie's church family for their love and support.
