Rose Fincher Patterson, age 83, of 213 Ridge St., Asheboro died Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the Cleveland Pines Nursing Center in Shelby.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Central United Methodist Church, 300 South Main Street, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will follow on Friday at 2:00 pm at Central United Methodist Church with Dr. Terry L. Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
Mrs. Patterson was born in Salisbury, NC on December 5, 1929 to William and Bertie Eddleman Fincher. She was a graduate of UNC-Greensboro and was a member of Alpha Upsilon Chapter-Delta Kappa Gamma. Rose was retired as an Elementary Music Teacher with Asheboro City Schools and was a member of Central United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her husband Hassel Patterson and her brother William "Buddy" Fincher, Jr.
She is survived by her sons, Darrell Patterson and his wife Wendy of Shelby, Pat Patterson and his wife Jen of Port Orange, FL; daughter, Laurie Patterson of Asheboro; and grandchildren, Holly, Genna, Galen, Brett, Ian, and Jeremy.
