Rose Ellen Moffitt Auman

Rose Ellen Moffitt Auman, age 75, of Asheboro died Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the Randolph Hospice House. Mrs. Auman was born in Asheboro on September 16, 1939 to Fred and Addie Yow Moffitt. She was retired from Neely & Lisk Insurance Company after 50 years of service. Rose was a member of Woodfern Baptist Church and was a volunteer with Clapp's Nursing Home and the Red Door Boutique. In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack, Rex, Royce, Bill, and Max Moffitt and her sister, Dot Craven. Rose loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Charles G. Auman; daughters, Sharon A. Suggs and husband Steve of Asheboro, Susan A. Halo and Rick of Sophia; grandchildren, Jamie Martin and husband Brooks of Gibsonville, Morgan Halo and Nicklaus Halo both of Sophia; sisters, Elda King of Asheboro, Jan Tolbert of Lake Tillery; nephews, Russell Moffitt, David Craven, Reid Craven, Ricky Craven, Allen Moffitt, Steve Moffitt, Randy Moffitt, Scott Moffitt, Jason Tolbert; Chris King, and Brandon King; and nieces, Angie Keese, Beth Casey, and Melynda Wilson. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 21, 2015 from 12:30-1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will follow on Friday at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Howard Moffitt and Pastor Todd Nance officiating.
