Rosa Johnson McPherson

Rosa Johnson McPherson, age 89, of 6086 Clyde Toomes Lane, Randleman, formerly of Asheboro, died Monday, June 16, 2008 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 20, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park. Mrs. McPherson was a native of Wilkes County and was retired from Balfour Elementary School cafeteria. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Walter Broadwell and Causey W. McPherson, sons, Darrell Ray McPherson, Mike O. Broadwell, sister, Ruby Tedderow, brothers, Earl Johnson and Clarence Johnson and parents, Simon and Mary Baity Johnson. She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Griffin and her husband Jimmy of Randleman, NC; son, Fred Broadwell and his wife Joyce of Middleburg, FL; daughter-in-law, Sue Broadwell of Middleburg, FL; sisters, Marie Harris of St. Petersburg, FL, Velma Hall of High Point, NC, Cora Jones of High Point, NC; brothers, Howard Johnson of Goldsboro, NC, Gerald Johnson of High Point, NC; 7 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 19, 2008 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Memorials may be made to a church of donor's choice.
