Robah “Terry” Hinshaw, age 81, of Lexington, NC, passed away on February 18, 2025, at Hinkle House of Davidson County.
Terry was born on July 11, 1943, in Guilford County to Roby Hinshaw and Johnsie Walker. He was a devoted and faithful servant of the Lord, finding joy and purpose in his faith. Terry deeply loved his family, cherishing his parents above all. He had a passion for crafting and spending time in nature, and he adored music, especially Johnny Cash—proudly calling himself the singer’s #1 fan.
Terry worked at Skill Craft in Greensboro and was known for his love of ravioli and homemade persimmon pudding. When asked, “How did you stay so sweet?” he would always reply, “I avoided the sour in life.” His joyful personality shined through in everything he did, and he never failed to bring laughter with his signature “Goodbyeee” followed by a loud giggle.
Terry is predeceased by his parents, his brothers Steve and Mike Hinshaw, and his sister Vonna Dae.
He is survived by his brother, Darrell Hinshaw (Lou) of Greensboro; his sister, Carol Marek (Tony) of Liberty; and his nieces, Aftan Wall (Jason), Tonia Harrison (Dean) of Lexington, and Katrina Bingham (Denton).
