Ronald Dewey Lassiter

Ronald Dewey Lassiter, age 60, of 600 Wallace Ave. Apt 8-C, Troy died Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Veterans Medical Center, Durham. Mr. Lassiter was born March 14, 1948 at Montgomery County, NC, the son of the late William Dewey and the late Villie (Kellis) Lassiter. He served in the US Army from 1973 to 1975. He was a member of New Covenant Church and a former forklift operator. He is survived by his wife Jane Yarboro Lassiter of Troy; two daughters: Joy Lynn Lassiter and Janna Gwyn Lassiter, both of Troy; one son: Ronald "Ronnie" Dewey Lassiter, II of Troy; three sisters: Judy Smith of Leland, Sarah Freeman and Debbie Lassiter, both of Troy; two brothers: Phillip Lassiter of Candor and Danny Lassiter of Troy. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7-9 PM at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Troy; other times at the home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:00 pm at New Covenant Church, 199 Alexander Rd, Troy with Pastor Doug Shuff, Rev. Janice Glover and Elder Carl Burrow officiating.
